With the transfer window perhaps even more frantic than usual, there is constant rumours of stars who could be in the Premier League come the new season.
We take a look at five players who would undoubtedly make a difference:
Roberto Soldado (Valencia CF)
The Spanish international has proved he can play amongst the best, with 59 goals in 101 appearances for Valencia. The striker has been one of the main threats in the Spanish league for the past two seasons and would be a great signing for any club in the Premier League, but his price-tag could be an obstacle some teams simply can't get past. He is reportedly available for €30Million.
Confirmed interest: Tottenham and Liverpool.
Cesc Fabregas (FC Barcelona)
Although it might hurt Arsenal fans, Cesc Fabregas could be returning back to England, and settling down at Manchester United. Fabregas, who left Arsenal back in 2011 to sign for FC Barcelona, has publicly said he might consider a move away from Spain.
With Manchester United already making offers for the midfielder, Fabregas might be tempted to move back to England.
Confirmed interest: Manchester United.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG)
Although this might be considered to be highly unlikely, many people would like to see Zlatan Ibrahimovic signing for a team in England. The Swedish striker, who has played for seven clubs in four different countries, is still only 31 years old, and he has won the league title with six of those seven clubs.
Ibrahmovic might be tempted to play in England before his career ends, but that's just something we will have to hope for.
Confirmed interest: None
Christian Eriksen (Ajax)
The chase after Christian Eriksen doesn't look like it's going to end any time soon. All the top clubs in England have been chasing the Dane for a long time. Eriksen who has been a key member of the Ajax squad for quite some time now, has made it clear he is willing to listen to offers, with England being a number one option for him. A promising midfielder who would be a fantastic signing for any club, is a player we indeed would like to see.
Confirmed interest: Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City
Robert Lewandowski (Borussia Dortmund)
This is a player who completely overshadowed every player in the Champions League last season. Robert Lewandowski has proven he is an outstanding goalscorer and can be considered as one of the best strikers in Europe currently. Despite all the rumours, Lewandowski himself has named FC Bayern as his number one choice. Although he will probably be playing for Dortmund in the upcoming season, his contract will run out in 2014, and FC Bayern will be keen on signing him.
Confirmed interest: Manchester City and Manchester United
