Arsenal must offer over £50 million in order to capture Luis Suarez from Liverpool, according to reports.
The Gunners had their last offer of £40m and £1 rejected by Liverpool this week, despite reports suggesting that the Uruguayan is keen on a move to The Emirates this summer.
Suarez is part of the Liverpool squad that is currently in Australia, and made a substitute appearance in the club’s latest preseason game, a 2-0 win over Melbourne Victory.
Brendan Rodgers has given the 26-year-old permission to talk the Arsenal, but this will make no difference unless Arsenal are to match the £50+m evaluation.
If The Gunners are to do this however, it will be very hard for Liverpool to turn down.
Suarez was a key player for the Anfield club last season and the Merseyside outfit will be keen to hold on to him as they look to challenge the top four this year.
