Often, the coolest or cheekiest players will try to fool the defensive wall.
Approaching the ball and looking like they'll curl it into the top corner, it looks for all intents and purposes that they will try to curl the ball over the wall, they then simply pass the ball into the bottom corner of the goal as the wall jumps.
Not against Figueirense!
This smart defender has come up with a way of narrowing and stopping almost all possible angles by laying down and 'planking' behind the rest of the wall as they jump.
Tested in their game against Palmeiras, the defender isn't called upon on this occasion but would need to beware of his hands if the ball does come his way.
This bizarre defensive technique does look as if it will prevent goals going in under the wall but it also looks utterly ridiculous!
