Aston Villa are looking at the possibility of selling Charles N’Zogbia, as it has been reported by the Metro that several clubs are interested in signing the winger.

The 27-year-old is not thought to be part of manager Paul Lambert’s plans, as he continues to restructure the first-team squad at Villa Park.

Hull City, Crystal Palace and a number of European clubs are thought to be monitoring the Frenchman’s situation, including Schalke, Hamburg and Lyon.

Villa signed the former Newcastle United player for £9.5m from Wigan Athletic in 2011, and he has gone on to score five goals in 60 appearances for the Villa Park club.

Darren Bent, Stephen Ireland, Barry Bannan, Shay Given and Nathan Delfouneso are also expected to leave the Villains this summer, along with Alan Hutton on loan.

Despite not having the desired effect on Villa’s fortunes, N’Zogbia did manage to make his first two appearances for France last season, and he may see a move as a means of improving his chances of making more international appearances.

No formal bids have been received for him as yet, and the only potential stumbling block would be his club’s valuation.
