Sky Sports have announced that Fulham have signed 18-year-old Ange-Freddy Plumain on a free transfer, after he failed to agree a new contract with former side RC Lens.
The young Frenchman made 22 appearances for Lens last season, despite being only 17-years-old for the majority of the fixtures, scoring one goal.
Plumain has been entered into the U21 development squad for the forthcoming Premier League season as Fulham manager Martin Jol hopes for him to adapt to English football before bringing him to the first team set-up the following year.
The midfielder signed a three-year-deal, and has the option for longer should he wish to remain at Craven Cottage.
A Fulham statement read: "The club is delighted to announce the signing of Ange-Freddy Plumain on a contract until 30th June 2016, with an option to extend for another year."
Plumain has also represented France at youth level, and could be one to watch for the future.
Elsewhere, Jol has already completed the signings of Fernando Amorebieta, Derek Boateng and Maarten Stekelenburg this summer, while he has also admitted he is still looking for "one or two" new signings before the season commences, as he looks to strengthen the squad and improve on what was a largely disappointing end to last season.
One of those potential signings could be Roma's Pablo Daniel Osvaldo. The Serie A club has officials in London to negotiate a deal which would see Osvaldo to move to Fulham, as well as to try and sign Arsenal's Gervinho at the same time.
