The question the lips of every Arsenal fan; should the Gunners sign Luis Suarez?

No way- Who wants a player who brings so much grief, and will miss so many games thanks to their constant mistakes?

Yes please- At Arsenal Suarez should comfortably be able to match his total goals tally from the 2012/13 season, if not beat it. Can Arsenal really afford to ignore a player of that quality?

This is the dilemma of all Arsenal fans. Everybody knows that Arsene Wenger is in the market for a top quality striker, a player who can add real threat and skill to his front line. For a long time it seemed as though that player would be Gonzalo Higuain. However, with Higuain now on the virtually signed for Napoli, Arsenal have switched their new found wealth towards landing the notorious Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan striker has long been the subject of derogatory chants from the Arsenal stands over his racist slurs towards Patrice Evra and his eating habits (namely he rather likes the taste of human flesh), but how quickly all that would be forgotten were he to score the winner against the old enemy from White Hart Lane, or the moment he sealed a long-awaited trophy.

There is little doubt in the Arsenal pubs that Olivier Giroud can do a job for the team; his goals last season were vital. Walcott too has stepped up to the plate and is scoring for fun from the wing at the moment, although doubts remain over his ability to start through the middle. Podolski can score, no doubt about that, but his vanishing acts for large parts of matches are a worry.

Can any of these three strikers really be expected to push Arsenal from fourth place up to serious contenders for the league or Champions League? Probably not this season.

In their hearts, Arsenal fans don't want the bother that comes with Luis Suarez, in their heads, they know how important it is for the team that they get him. Whether or not Arsenal want him could, in the end, be a moot point.

With money in their pockets from the sale of Higuain, is there a more likely target for Real Madrid than Suarez?
