Sir Alex Ferguson's era has ended at Manchester United, and David Moyes has picked up proceedings from were the Scot left off.

Moyes, is surrounded with the expectations and problems that come with managing one of the biggest clubs in World Football.

Like every summer, Manchester United are in the thick of transfer rumours with much speculation filling the back pages.

The Wayne Rooney saga has been the highlight so far and has somewhat taken the light away from a number of other stories.

United’s pursuit of Cesc Fabregas and Gareth Bale have also been in the limelight.

Amidst the rumours, the radar has fallen off Portuguese winger Nani's future at the club.

Originally tipped to take over from where Cristiano Ronaldo left off in Manchester, Nani has failed to live up to expectations.

Even though a potential return of Ronaldo has been discussed by the media in length, his return is as unlikely as landing Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur.

Luis Carlos Almeida da Cunha, popularly known as Nani, had a very limited role at Old Trafford following the arrival of Ashley Young and Shinji Kagawa. Manchester United’s player’s player of the year in 2010-11 season, had to settle for 17 appearances in all competitions after falling way down the pecking order last season.

The addition of Wilfred Zaha to the mix is no doubt going to have an impact on Nani's career.

His poor performances and inconsistency, was an insult to injury after falling out with the manager.

He is still regarded as a good winger across the continent and that is marked by the number of teams chasing his signature this summer.

Even though surplus to the requirements at Manchester United, a number of clubs are hoping to land the winger to strengthen their armoury.

This list includes teams from big spending French side AS Monaco to Italian Serie A champions Juventus.

The status and the position of the clubs chasing the signature of the 26-year old winger, indicate that he is not just an outcast, but a player at the wrong place.

Manchester United may feel that Nani is not worth the trouble, even though rumours are circulating over a potential contract extension

He is no more the youngster, who possessed the license to make one or two invisible displays every now and then.

And it is reported that Manchester United are ready to cash on him for 8 million euros.

Nani is still a special player who can turn the outcome of matches with his individual brilliance, and at eight Million, if someone like Nani is available, it is really a coup.

At an age, when youngsters are overhyped and overpriced, Nani will be worth every penny quoted for his services. He is an established player, who already has four Premier League titles under his belt, and is one of the best when on a roll.

He still has the magic to torment the opposition defences, all he needs is consistent playing time. The likes of Fenerbahce, Monaco, Roma, Juventus, Anzhi and even Arsenal can provide that as well.

Which club will be able to provide a consistent starting spot for Nani? Whoever it is, he is worth the negligible fee quoted for his services.

What do you think? Do you think Nani is past his prime and will be a liability for his admirers? Are we going to witness the Nani magic again? Is he a value for money option?
