Manchester United boss David Moyes has confirmed that the club's attempt to sign Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona is continuing.

United have had two previous bids for the Spanish international midfielder turned down by Barcelona, the latest bid being in the region of £31million.

Moyes hasn't given up hope on landing the 26-year-old from the Nou Camp.

Moyes has yet to capture his first big signing for the club, nearly a month into the transfer window.

Having missed out on Thiago and Kevin Strootman, Moyes is still seeking a move for a fresh midfielder and Fabregas has been a top target for the Scotsman.

Moyes said in his press conference in Osaka that 'talks are ongoing'.

United's new manager hopes would have improved after The Sun revealed Fabregas has told his close friends that he wants to move to Old Trafford this summer.
