Europa League second round qualifying round-up

It was an exciting night of Europa League football, as the second qualifying round concluded. There were 39 games in all, providing 115 goals.

The pick of the games was in Holland as FC Utrecht drew 3-3 against FC 03 Differdange. The team from Luxembourg went through 5-4 on aggregate despite being 4-3 down at one point.

Dinamo Minsk made it through with a late goal to make it 3-2 on the night (4-4 on aggregate). The Belarusian side made it through on the away goals rule.

It was a mixed night for Scottish football, as St Johnstone defied the odds to draw 1-1 with Norway's most succesful club Rosenborg. Tommy Wright's men made it through after a 1-0 away win in the first leg. 

But there were different emotions at Easter Road, as a 16,000 crowd gathered to watch Hibernian thrashed 7-0 by Malmo (9-0 on aggregate. The Swedes will now go through to face Swansea City in the third round. 

Unbelievably, that wasn't the biggest win of the night - Maccabi Haifa put eight goals past Khazar Lankaran to book their third round place.

Both Northen Irish clubs went out. Derry losing 3-0 on the night (7-2 on aggregate) to Turkish side Trabzonspor.

Meanwhile, league champions Linfield were defeated on away goals by Skoda Xanthi who won 2-1 after extra time (2-2 on aggregate).
