Red Bull once again dominated practice ahead of this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix as Sebastian Vettel posted the fastest lap time in both of Friday’s sessions.
The German was quickest in both parts of today’s practice, with teammate Mark Webber in second as Red Bull look in shape for a team one-two in tomorrow’s qualifying.
Championship leader Vettel finished a quarter of a second in front of Webber in the opening round at the Hungaroring, before posting a faster time of one minute 21.264 seconds in the second session, just 0.044 seconds quicker than Webber.
Behind the Red Bull pair was Romain Grosjean of Lotus, and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso who were third and fourth quickest respectively.
Alonso, who trails Vettel by 34 points in the driver’s championship, finished 0.162 seconds behind.
Britain’s Lewis Hamilton finished over half a second back, with Jenson Button also squeezing into the top ten ahead of Saturday’s qualifying.
