Chelsea striker Demba Ba has ruled out a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer - despite speculation linking the west London side with a move for Wayne Rooney.

Demba Ba already faces competition from fellow strikers Fernando Torres and Romelu Lukaku but is not worried about the prospect of competing with Rooney for a first-team spot. 

Arsenal have been given a boost in the race to sign Liverpool forward Luis Suarez as new Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has played down speculation linking the La Liga giants with a move for the wantaway striker.

Arsenal were expecting to compete with Madrid for Suarez's signature but it now looks like they are in pole position to sign the Uruguayan. 

Barcelona held a minute's silence for the 80 people who died in Wednesday's Spanish train crash.

Lionel Messi and co are currently training in Norway but found time to show their respect to the victims.

Tottenham star Mousa Dembele has praised teammate Gareth Bale for how he has handled speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

Dembele - speaking at Tottenham's pre-season tour of Hong Kong - said Bale has been acting 'normal'.

Manchester United new-boy Wilfried Zaha has stated his happiness at scoring his first goal for the Red Devils.

The former Crystal Palace winger stopped his new side from slipping to their third defeat of their pre-season tour - by scoring in the last minute of their match against Cerezo Osaka.

And finally - Everton have entered the race to sign Manchester City flop Scott Sinclair.

Sinclair, who has failed to make an impact at City, is also said to be interesting Premier League duo West Brom and Stoke.
