Borussia Dortmund are in contract renewal talks with midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, according to sporting director Michael Zorc.
ESPNFC.com reports the German side, who set Europe alight with their performances in the Champions League last year, are hoping to add Gundogan to a long list of players who have committed their long-term future to the club.
Aside from striker Robert Lewandowski, who is reportedly allowing his contract to run out before realising his ambitions of moving to rivals Bayern Munich, Gundogan is the only current member of Dortmund's first-team squad who is not contracted until the 2016 European Championships.
Gundogan, who scored Dortmund's only goal in their Champions League final loss last season, has become a hot property after announcing himself on the European stage.
The 22-year-old German international is reportedly being closely followed by Manchester United and Real Madrid, as well as Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Dortmund will be keen to keep hold of their starlet, who is part of a breed of exciting prospects currently at the Westfalenstadion.
Zorc told a german newspaper: "We have talked to Ilkay and his dad and agent Irfan."
