Roberto Martinez believes Gerard Deulofeu is beginning to settle into life at Goodison Park.
The midfielder has joined the Premier League side on a season-long loan from Barcelona, but has only recently joined up with his new teammates due to his involvement at the Under-20 World Cup.
After being eliminated by Uruguay in the quarter-finals, Deulofeu was allowed to join up with the team for pre-season later on.
But now he has had the chance to meet the Everton squad at his first few training sessions.
Roberto Martinez has spoken about the arrival of his compatriot, and highlighted the 19-year-old's eagerness to simply play football.
"Gerard is joining us after his time in the World Cup with the Under-20s with Spain.
"He's had a bit of time to refresh, to switch off, but I'm well aware that he hasn't enjoyed that part," the Toffees boss told the club's official website.
In addition to the club's first managerial change in a decade, Deulofeu could be a breath of fresh air at Goodison, as the club looks to the future with Martinez.
The Spaniard concluded the discussion of his new signing, by adding: "He's been raring to come to Finch Farm and to get to know everyone."
