7. Ashley Williams (Swansea City)

Ashley Williams established himself as one of the most lethal defenders in the Premier League's 2012/2013 season. His defensive pairing with centre-back Chico Flores became essential in helping Swansea win their first major trophy - the Capital One Cup at Wembley. 

Williams has won 53% of his duels and has proven an unshakeable part of the Swans' defence. He made 56 clearances and has been known to make level-headed decisions on the pitch.
