3. Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea)

Branislav Ivanovic put his name in the Chelsea history books when he scored the winning goal in the last minute of the 2012/2013 Europa League final.

The Chelsea defender had an impressive goal tally of five goals last season, and the majority of them came at crucial points for his team. Ivanovic is intelligent with his positioning and he is able to determine when to get forward and when to stay back and defend.

Ivanovic is strong in the air, tackles cleanly, and is a danger when it comes to set-peices. He's known for a slight lapse in concentration every now and then, but his amount of defensive errors was kept at just two last year. He also managed to win 62% of his duels in that time.
