The FIFA U20 World cup is known for unearthing new talents in world football. The likes of Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi are the best examples of world class players coming through this tournament.

The competition also acts as a stepping stone for many talented players working their way up the European football ladder, having given breakthroughs to extremely talented, skillfull players with huge potential.

Turkey hosted the latest edition of the event this summer, which was known as the FIFA World Youth Championship until 2005. Last editions semi finalists, France emerged as the best team riding on the brilliance of their captain Paul Pogba.

Pogba was an academy product of Manchester United, who went on to sign for Juventus last summer. If Pogba was one of the established player whom the world took notice, there were many youngsters who stepped up and increased their value during the event.

One of them is certainly Portugal's 18-year-old winger Armindo Tue Na Bangna, also known as Bruma.

Even though a winger, Bruma took centre stage with his scintillating performance in front of goal, scoring five in just four matches, as Portugal exited early from the tournament. His impressive form has already led to comparisons with former Ballon d'Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Being Potuguese, and possessing s similar playing style to the Real Madrid superstar was not the only reason why the world took notice of the youngster. He also showed glimpses of the star in many methods.

Sudden acceleration and dribbling abilities helped the forward to play comfortably on both wings. His agility and flair make him a more complete player than his compatriots are. Bruma also has the speed and swift movements to outpace the opposition defence in the flash of a second.

The Guinea Basau-born youngster is primarily right footed, but is fairly comfortable playing with his left as well. This certainly gives him an advantage when taking on defenders, due to the unpredictability of his favoured leg. His crossing is also a useful weapon while hugging the touchline.

Bruma's athleticism is his biggest strength. Even though skinny, he is extremely fit. He is a dangerous proposition when facing one-on-one and has an eye for goal. His quick bursts from defence to attack often leaves the opposition stranded and this is how he creates openings for one-on-one's.

As expected, he is not physically strong at 5ft 8in, and his heading isn't an area which he should be proud of. Also, he needs significant improvements with respect to his positioning. His first touch and technique are good and that is the reason why the winger is capable occupying the central role as a second striker.

Bruma, started at Sporting Lisbon B, before making the grade and progressing to the first-team where he registered 13 appearances already at the age of 18. Even though his contract situation is perplexing due to the complexities voiced by the player and his club, he is expected to make a move to a bigger club and league this summer.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool are all believed to be chasing his signature. Can we witness Bruma's magic in the Premier League next season? With a little bit of fine-tuning and proper guidance, the next potential super star is ready in Portugal.
