Arsenal have confirmed that striker Joel Campbell is to spend the upcoming season on loan in Greece with Olympiakos.

The Costa Rica international joined the Gunners in August 2011 but has been loaned out for the past two years to Lorient and Real Betis.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has reiterated that Juan Mata is in his Stamford Bridge plans, and hinted at a new role for him this season.

Speculation has linked Mata with a move away from west London this summer, but Mourinho has stressed that the Spaniard has a key role in the first-team.

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho reckons the team must make a strong start to the campaign if they are to challenge for the Premier League title.

The summer signing from Shakhtar Donetsk believes City have to get points on the board before the Champions League starts in September.

Manchester United boss David Moyes is confident his team will be among the honours again this season even if they fail to land their transfer targets.

United have been unsuccessful in their pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas, and are yet to contact Everton regarding a move for Marouane Fellaini or Leighton Baines.

Besiktas remain keen on signing Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor if they can escape a ban for alleged match-fixing.

Adebayor's future at Tottenham has been the subject of intense speculation all summer with Spurs thought to be in the market for striking reinforcements.

And finally, New Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino has revealed the part Paraguay's president had in helping him get the top job with the Catalan giants.

A relative unknown until barely a week ago, the Argentinian's biggest role before getting the call from Barca, was coaching the Paraguay national team, who he took to the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup and the final of the Copa America a year later.
