Wrestling legend The Ultimate Warrior is likely to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, according to The Sun.
The news comes the week after The Ultimate Warrior was announced as a playable character in the WWE’s new video games WWE 2K14.
Warrior’s most memorable moment in a WWE ring came when he defeated Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 6 to win the WWE Championship. The Warrior is also remembered as the only man to hold the WWE Championship and Intercontinental Championship simultaneously.
Former WWE Champion Warrior last appeared in the WWE in 1996 and has had a long running feud with WWE owner Vince McMahon which prevented him from any returns but it seems that the feud has now been put to bed.
In a recent interview Warrior noted that although he did not negotiate his 2K14 appearance with the WWE, the company did approve his appearance. He then said that McMahon had “welcomed him back into the WWE Universe.”
In an unexpected turn of events, Warrior then praised McMahon on Twitter and said “I am proud Ultimate Warrior is an iconic, immortal spirit in the universe you created.”
Now that the feud has ended Ultimate Warrior is likely to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014, the night before WrestleMania 30. If Warrior does agree to be inducted, he will follow in the footsteps of former superstars Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan and Bruno Sammartino by putting his problems with McMahon aside and becoming a Hall of Famer.
