Arsenal find themselves in a predicament as their transfer wish-list appears to be running dry.
The London club have missed out on reported targets such as Gonzalo Higuain, Stevan Jovetic and it now appears they've been priced out of a move for Luis Suarez.
This leaves Arsene Wenger in a sticky situation as both he and owner Ivan Gazidis spoke publicly before the transfer window that Arsenal would have a lot of money to spend this summer.
But with potential options scarce, who do they spend their money on?
The fans are growing impatient; eight years without a trophy is too long. They want to see some ambition, a big-money, world-class signing; that now appears improbable.
Without some considerable quality entering the squad it seems unlikely Arsenal will improve on last season where they only just scraped a top-four finish.
Another reason to be worried is rivals Tottenham and Liverpool strengthening considerably, both of the two will be ready for a serious push on the Champions league positions.
With so much money to spend and so little to spend it on, we may well see a panic buy from the board - but who?
