Peter Abrahamsson became the laughing stock of the Swedish football terraces on Monday evening, after the Örgryte goalkeeper was sent off after just 44 seconds of play, for a ridiculous handball in last night's second division clash against Hammarby.
The 25-year-old stopper came charging out of his box and into no-mans-land, in an unnecessary attempt to clear the 'danger', following a long punt upfield from Hammarby's kick-off.
But, Abrahamsson completely misjudged the trajectory and bounce of the ball, which prompted what is likely to be one of the fastest red cards of the 2013/14 campaign, after he was given his marching orders for an idiotic double fist-punch clear.
With less than a minute on the clock, and already down to ten-men, it was always going to be an uphill struggle for Örgryte, who went on to lose the match 3-0.
The result leaves them second-bottom in the Superettan table, with 14 points from 16 games played, while Hammarby are up to sixth, with 24 points from the same number of matches.
