Recently, Belgium has become a strong force in world football and many of their main stars play for Premier League clubs - here are some of the best in a team of their own.

Goalkeeper

This Position is of course taken by Liverpool stopper Simon Mignolet. He was class for Sunderland last season and earned a £9 million transfer.

Defenders

Vincent Kompany is one of the best centre backs in the Premier League and would be a great club captain in this team.

Jan Vertonghen had an unbelievable season for Tottenham, and lived up to his £12 million transfer fee. He appeared in 52 games for Spurs and scored 6 goals in the process. He definitely deserves his place in this team.

Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen helped the Gunners to a Champions League spot. They had one of the most solid defences in the League and Vermaelen was a big part of that, despite not having his best season.

Midfielders

Unsurprisingly Marouane Fellaini has been linked with a big money move to Machester United after a great season at Everton. He got 13 goals for the toffees and was their best player. In this team Fellaini would play as a defensive midfielder because of his ability to make tackles and win headers.

Kevin Mirallas was another Belgian who had a good season at Everton. He got 10 goals so would be a right attacking midfielder because of his ability to cut in and take long shots.

The left attacking midfielder in this team would be Moussa Dembele. Dembele is an unsung hero for Tottenham, his passing, long shots and dribbling ability make this the perfect position for him.

Chelsea will need Eden Hazard if they want to challenge for the title next year. He is quality on either side of midfield but i think he is stronger on the right. On the right he would get some nice crosses in for the big strikers.

On the other side of midfield would be a player who we don't know much about, Nacer Chadli. Chadli signed for Tottenham this summer and the £7 million man looks like a good signing. He scored 13 goals for FC Twente last season an i'm sure he will be a good player in the Premier League this season.

Strikers

After his loan spell at West Brom Romelu Lukaku showed everyone how good he was and Chelsea will be very happy to have him back. Lukaku showed that he is fast and can finish would be lethal on the counter attack.

Christian Benteke was one of the best Premier League strikers last season. The wingers in this team can easily provide him with crosses and he doesn't miss headers. Not only is he a massive problem for defenders in the air but his shot is like a bullet. In the next few seasons he will only improve.

So that is the Belgian Premier League XI. Pretty good isn't it. How do you think this team would fare in the Premier League?
