David Moyes remains defiant over the future of striker Wayne Rooney. Following Manchester United's 5-2 win over Kitchee on Monday, Moyes confirmed that there have been no further developments regarding a potential move to Chelsea.

Gareth Bale has told Tottenham that he wants to hold talks with Real Madrid. The Wales international is reportedly keen to leave White Hart Lane this summer, with Madrid prepared to pay a world-record fee to prise him away from Spurs.

Chelsea insist that David Luiz will not be sold to Bayern Munich this summer. The Brazil international has been linked with a £34m move to the European champions - but the Blues are determined to keep the versatile defender at Stamford Bridge.

Recently-appointed Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino took charge of his first training session on Monday. The former Paraguay manager put the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar through their paces ahead of the team's pre-season friendly against Lechia Gdansk.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere expects the Gunners to start the new campaign in flying form after an impressive pre-season. Arsene Wenger's men won all four of their friendlies in the Far East this month, and Wilshere was particularly encouraged by the performances of the team's youngsters.

And finally, Manchester City are waiting to discover the extent of Matija Nastasic's injury. The 20-year-old defender had a scan on his right ankle on Monday after being stretchered off during Saturday's pre-season win over Sunderland in Hong Kong, and is now expected to miss the start of the new campaign.
