Edinson Cavani was back in action yesterday, as Paris Saint-Germain welcomed their new summer signings to training for the first time.
Cavani was greeted by his new team-mates at Clairefontaine on Monday, as the former Napoli striker returned from his summer break.
The Uruguayan was joined by fellow newcomers Marquinhos and Lucas Digne as they began training with the French champions following their arrivals from Roma and Lille respectively.
The trio took part in a light session, including some running and ball work, before enjoying lunch with the squad.
After some routine medical tests, the players returned to the pitch where they joined the rest of the squad in some possession and passing exercises.
An exciting summer for Digne saw the young Frenchman help his country secure the U20 World Cup, and despite a short rest period, the left-back was eager to get going again.
"It was only a very short holiday this year, but it will do!" explained the U20 world champion to PSG.TV. "I really switched off and recharged the batteries for this new season. I hope to keep progressing, get as much playing time as possible and settle in the squad as quickly as possible.
"Physically I feel in good shape. I start training today and we'll see how it goes. I am really impatient to play with my new team-mates. This is an excellent move for me."
PSG kick off their competitive campaign this weekend, when they face Bordeaux in the French Super Cup.
