Real Madrid have made a world record £85 million bid for Tottenham star Gareth Bale, according to Sky Sports.
The bid, which is £5 million more than what Madrid paid Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo, does not include any players from the Bernabeu outfit, despite reports linking Angel Di Maria and Fabio Coentrao to White Hart Lane.
And despite Daniel Levy's stance, that Spurs' prize asset is not for sale, Bale is becoming increasingly frustrated with the situation.
The Welsh international played a key role in Andre Villas-Boas' side last season scoring 21 goals in 33 Premier League matches.
However, despite Bale's best efforts, he couldn't help Spurs into the Champions League and it now looks like the lure of Real Madrid is attracting the 24-year-old.
Tottenham's first game of the Premier League season is on August 18 as the Lilywhites travel to Crystal Palace and it remains to be seen if Bale will be with the side.
