Napoli have been quite active during the current summer transfer window.
After the blockbuster move of Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of €64.5 million, Napoli have been trying to bring many star players to the club.
New club manager Rafa Benitez has currently expressed interest in 24-years-old Barcelona forward and winger Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez joined Barcelona from Udinese for a fee of €26 million on July 2011.
Last term he scored 11 goals and provided 13 assists in 46 games for Barcelona.
Napoli have successfully secured their replacement for Edinson Cavani by bringing Gonzalo Higuain from Real Madrid for a fee of nearly €37 million. Along with that Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina is latest addition to the squad.
Alexis Sanchez has not been able to find his Udinese form that tempted Barca to buy him on a huge fee.
But this could be an opportunity for Chilean international to return to Italy, where he made his name.
On top of woes about form, Barca's latest signing of Neymar threatens his position in the starting line-up.
Napoli finished second in the league table after Juventus last season, and this time they are looking to go a step further for ultimate glory. With the addition of Jose Callejon, Raul Albiol, Higuain and Reina, Napoli has already built a good squad for their post-Cavani era.
Sanchez move can bring a lot of fire-power to Napoli and bringing him back to Italy could benefit him too.
