Manchester United are reportedly prepared to submit a third bid for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas, understands Manchester United Evening News.
Barcelona have already rejected two bids from Manchester United of £25m and £30m.
While last week, Red Devils' boss David Moyes cast doubt over a third bid for the Spaniard.
"I couldn't tell you if there will be another bid (for Fabregas), but obviously we'll take stock of it and decide what we're going to do next," he commented.
Manchester United Evening News, however, claim that the Premier League champions will return to Barcelona with a third bid, which would break the club's transfer record if accepted.
Dimitar Berbatov's move from Tottenham is currently United's transfer record signing, worth around £30.8m.
However, Barcelona's new boss recently admitted that the former Arsenal skipper is not for sale and will not be sold for any price.
Gerardo Martino said: “I’m not going to involve myself in the club’s accounts, but considering the club has already rejected two offers, I would guess it will reject a third. In other words he will remain here.”
But Manchester United are confident of landing Fabregas, who has been slipping pecking order at Barcelona last season.
