Deportivo Cali midfielder Vladimir Marin began the 2013/14 campaign in stunning style last weekend, after scoring a sensational free-kick from more than 40 yards.
The Colombian top-flight clash against Once Caldas resulted in a comfortable 3-0 victory for the away side, but there was no doubt about the stand-out moment of the match, which came in the closing stages of the encounter.
Deportivo Cali won a free-kick just inside the Once Caldas half, after Hanyer Mosquera was sent off after being adjudged to have fouled an opponent.
Marin took responsibility of the set-piece, and with his side already two goals to the good, he served up an early contender for goal of the season with a bullet long-range strike.
And, if the amazing wonder goal wasn't delightful enough, the 33-year-old proceeded to celebrate in equally entertaining style, by wheeling away to the substitutes bench and putting on the suit jacket of his manager Leonel Álvarez.
