Arsenal's best under-21 team

Arsenal are known for doing a great job when it comes to creating world class players from their youth academy.

They've produced talents such as Jack Wilshere, Ashley Cole and Cesc Fabregas for example. Naturally Arsenal are a very young team, so here we'll look at the best team we could make from Arsenal players 21 years old or younger...

GK: Damien Martinez (19 years old)

The Argentine has already played a select few first team games, most notably in the Capital One Cup in the 2012/13 season where he also took part in the 7-5 win against Reading. Martinez has already been called up for the Argentina national team but has yet to make an appearance - maybe in the future Martinez could be Arsenal's first team goalkeeper.

RB: Hector Bellerin (18 years old)

The Spaniard joined Arsenal from the Barcelona academy and has been a terrific player for the reserves. He has already been identified as a potential Arsenal and Spain future first team regular, so this is someone definitely to watch.

CB: Ignasi Miquel (20 years old)

Another Spaniard who once played for the Barcelona academy before being released. Miquel has played five games for the Gunners first team as well as many cup games. He hasn't really lived up to the hype of what he could of been, but he's still 20 and could still become a world class defender.

CB: Daniel Boateng (20 years old)

Daniel has only played one first team game for the Gunners against Bolton in the League Cup. He has been sent out on loan for the last two seasons to Swindon and Oxford United, but he seems very unlikely to break into the first team. Probably someone who will leave Arsenal very soon.

LB: Carl Jenkinson  (20 years old)

Normally a right back, but he can play in the left back position also. His first season with Arsenal was a disaster, he was really out of form - but this past season we've seen a new side to Carl Jenkinson. Last term he put in some outstanding performances, gaining international recognition and earning his first cap for England against Sweden. He will no doubt be a regular face in the 2013/14 season and future seasons to come!

CDM: Jack Wilshere (21 years old)

The name on all Arsenal and England fans lips. Jack Wilshere has been a revelation for Arsenal and has been seen as the future world's best midfielder. He is a complete player, he can tackle, pass and shoot. If Jack can stay fit and not get injured - he will no doubt be future Arsenal and possibly England captain.

CDM: Emmanuel Frimpong (21 years old)

The Ghanaian is a fan favorite with the Gunners, mainly for his erratic personality. Frimpong is prone to injuries and this has halted his progression with the Arsenal first team, but he is no doubt a great young player. He had some good loan spells last season with Charlton and Fulham, if he can continue his progression I'm sure he could be an important figure in Arsenal's first team alongside best pal Jack Wilshere.

CAM: Thomas Eisfeld (20 years old)

The young German is no doubt an unbelievable talent, and Arene Wenger knows that. His performances since moving from Borrusia Dortmund have been outstanding and I'm sure many Arsenal fans want to see him in the first team. This season, expect to see Eisfeld a lot more often.

LM: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin (19 years old)

The speedy winger is not only a fan favorite at Arsenal, but is one of the first names on the England national team-sheet. His performances this season for Arsenal were not as great as the season before, but his performances for England have been outstanding. He has scored his first England goals, two against San Marino (separate games) and one volley against Brazil. Expect this player to once again be one of the first names on the Arsenal and England team-sheet next season.

RM: Ryo Miyaichi (20 years old)

The Japanese youngster is known mostly for his sheer speed and skills. Having spent unsuccessful loan spells at Wigan and Bolton, he's been unlucky with injuries. At the moment it looks unlikely he'll reach the heights he could of made. But he's still young and I wouldn't be surprised to see him playing some first team games next season!

ST: Yaya Sanogo (20 years old)

The young Frenchman is Arsenal's only signing this season so far, joining on a free from Auxerre. Expect to see this guy popping in some goals this season!

OTHER MENTIONS: BENIK AFOBE, CHUBA AKPOM, JOEL CAMPBELL, SERGE GNABRY, GEDION ZALALEM, KRISTOFFER OLSSON
