Marco Reus is currently in red hot form for Borussia Dortmund, in pre-season, scoring in almost every game.
He struck a brace in a 4-2 victory against bitter rivals Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup to ensure successful revenge after their Champions League heartbreak at Wembley.
On the other side, Thomas Muller is having time of his life at Bayern Munich. Since his sensational rise to stardom in the World Cup 2010, where he won the golden boot, he has been consistent with Bayern.
Reus made a great debut season for Dortmund scoring 18 goals and provided 11 assists in 43 games. Likewise Muller registered 22 goals and 15 assists from 41 games for Bayern Munich.
Reus, 24, is among the fastest players in the world and uses his acceleration and explosive speed to frighten defenders.
After Gotze’s departure from Dortmund, Reus will be the next man at the centre of the German giants.
Muller, 23, is instinctive and find spaces very nicely and due to that he often find himself in scoring charts.
Reus has scored seven goals from 15 games while Muller has 13 from 43 games for Germany. Both the players are expected to play alongside one another in the World Cup next year in Brazil.
Muller may find pressure due to the inclusion of Mario Gotze and Thiago Alcantara this summer - but let’s wait and see which star has the better season in 2013/14.
