Manchester United's Portuguese winger Nani, who has been constantly linked with a move away from Old Trafford, scored twice on his return from a nose injury in his first outing in pre-season.

The 26 year old scored a free-kick and a wonderful solo effort goal in a 2-0 over Crewe Alexandria.

It was a timely reminder to new manager David Moyes that he is still one of the best wingers in the Premier League and can be a match winner on his day.

Nani has shown flashes of his brilliance but hasn't delivered consistently for the Red Devils, however there is no doubt he has top class quality although he will have to produce his best more often than not to secure a future at Manchester United.

Moyes, who spent the past three weeks on tour, saw that youngsters Adnan Januzaj and Jesse Lingard are showing great promise, but his senior wingers have failed to deliver.

Ashley Young failed to impress on the tour which saw 20-year-old Lingard finish as top scorer for the club.

It was reported in French newspaper L'Equipe that Nani was offered to AS Monaco, but the Portuguese hinted that he wants to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place.

"Of course its a bit different when Sir Alex Ferguson leaves the club, because you know how important he was for this club," said Nani.

"The team is the same and we hope the new manager comes with ideas to help us win again. Of course everyone have to prove himself because its a different manager with different ideas," he added.

When asked about his ambitions for the upcoming season, Nani made it clear he wants to return to his best and win the league again.

"I hope to win the league again and,for my personal wishes,I want to be at my best and score lots of goals," stated Nani.

"Like I said I just need to be at my best then everything will come together."

The Portuguese seems to have set his sights on staying at Old Trafford despite rumours of a summer move away.

There is no doubt he can make a difference, and if he is at his best then the Red Devils could run away with the league once again.
