Manchester United legend Bryan Robson has praised new manager David Moyes and has tipped the former Everton boss to make 'one or two' new signings.

Moyes has only been in charge of his new side for a month but Red Devils ambassador Robson has already been impressed with the 50-year-old Scotsman.

Speaking to Manchester United's official website, Robson said: "I think he’ll take everything in his stride at Manchester United.

"He’s going to be working with some top-class players and I’m sure he’ll do a great job for the club. He’s handled himself well so far."

has been able to see Moyes' work at first hand. The former West Brom manager travelled to Asia for United's recent pre-season tour - so

Moyes' side had a mixed bag of results during their tour of Asia and Australia with United having won two, lost two and drawn one.

Moyes has so far been frustrated in the transfer market with United failing to agree deals for the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Leighton Baines.

However Robson believes Moyes will make his first signing before the start of the new season.

He added: "I think David knows that he doesn't need too change much. It's just a little bit of fine-tuning.

"He will want to make one or two new signings to lift the players, lift the fans, and get everyone buzzing before the start of the season."
