Manchester United keen on Bologna midfielder

Manchester United have registered their interest in Bologna midfielder Saphir Taider, according to reports.

TalkSPORT claims the player’s representatives have informed the club that David Moyes wants to bring the 21-year-old to the Premier League, after failing to land other targets already this summer.

The Red Devils have failed to lure Cesc Fabregas to Old Trafford thus far, and Thiago Alcantara opted for Bayern Munich over the English champions.

Italian international Claudio Marchisio is another midfielder to be linked with Manchester United.

Taider would represent a much more untested option, with the youngster starting to impress in Serie ‘A’ after a move from Grenoble in 2011.

Capped four-times for Algeria, the youngster won’t come cheap however, with the radio station claiming Moyes would need to spend £15million to land the player.

Were Taider to sign for Manchester United, he'd challenge for a place in the side alongside the likes of Shinji Kagawa and Tom Cleverley.
