After weeks of speculation about Liverpool striker, Luis Suarez's future, Steven Gerrard, captain of Liverpool and team-mate of the Uruguayan has decided to comment on the the transfer rumours surrounding the controversial frontman.
Gerrard believes that Liverpool's 2013/14 campaign will depend on whether the club keep hold of Suarez, and has urged the prolific goalscorer to remain at Anfield.
If Suarez was to demand a move elsewhere, Gerrard encouraged him only to consider moves to clubs in foreign countries - clubs like Barcelona, Napoli or Real Madrid.
Liverpool finished the last Premier League campaign in seventh place, but hope to solidify a Champions League spot in this upcoming season.
Gerrard obviously believes Suarez is key in achieving that goal. Suarez has scored 51 goals for Liverpool since transferring to the club from Ajax in 2011.
After several controversial events that have occurred during his time at the club, he could be looking for a fresh start somewhere else.
Gerrard has called Suarez the best player he has ever played with and would definitely be disappointed to see the South American goalscorer leave Merseyside.
