Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has today reassured Juventus fans that he has ‘never even considered a move away from the club’ and wants to end his career in Turin.
Having been linked with a move away from the Serie A club, including English champions Manchester United and French big-spenders Monaco, the Italian is adamant his future lies with the Old Lady.
While the 27-year-old revealed he held talks with director Beppe Marotta to clarify his future, he spoke about how he has grown used to rumours about his future.
“There’s talk about the possibility of me leaving every summer, of course I’m flattered that top European clubs are linked with me but my dream is to end my career with Juventus,” he told Gazzetto dello Sport.
The Italian made his debut for Juventus in 2006-2007 season and spent a year on-loan with Empoli before returning to his beloved Juve. He won his first cap for Italy at the age of 23.
Manager Antonio Conte will welcome the news as he continues to build a squad that is good enough to challenge for the biggest prize in club football – the Champions League.
Conte, 44, has brought in three summer signings – Fernando Llorente, Carlos Tevez and Angelo Ogbonna.
The champions of Italy are the favourites to retain their title next season.
