Louis Tomlinson will realise his dream of playing for Doncaster Rovers, as the club confirm the star has signed as a non-contract player.
One Direction star feels 'honoured' to sign for Championship club Doncaster, Tomlinson told Rover's official website.
Tomlinson said: “This has always been a childhood dream for me.
"I feel very honoured to have been asked to sign for Rovers and being able to help both the club and the amazing charity Bluebell Wood is what it’s all about.”
The singing pop sensation is one of five members of boyband 'One Direction'.
Tomlinson has previously appeared for Doncaster in a charity game.
Doncaster's official website revealed: "Louis has always been passionate about football and wanted to realise a dream of signing to his home town club where he once worked on match days.
"After discussions between Louis, Paul Dickov and Media Manager Steve Uttley, it was decided that the club could sign him and issue him with a squad number for the 2013/2014 season."
He will wear number 28 for Doncaster.
