Liverpool's kit supplier Warrior have made the mistake of using one of the terms the club has banned in advertising the club's third kit this season.
The Merseyside club sent out a guide with a list of terms that are prohibited from being used at Anfield, but Warrior's advertising slogan of "MAN UP SIGN UP" to entice fans into signing for the mailing list uses one of these prohibited terms.
In an attempt to try and banish all forms of homophobia, sexism, racism and all forms of discriminatory behaviour, the term "man up" is now not permitted to be used at the club's stadium, as it comes under gender based discrimination.
The list has been given to staff as phrases they should be listening out for, but Liverpool seem to have missed the term being used on their website.
Banning "man up" from being said was a more surprise inclusion in the guide, which refers to players deemed not to be trying hard enough.
Warrior have been Liverpool's kit sponsor since 2011, in a deal worth £25m, but they are yet to change the slogan.
