Manchester United and Spain international goalkeeper David de Gea thinks Cesc Fabregas would be a massive improvement to Manchester United's squad if the Spain international was to join the Reds.
According to The Telegraph, United are looking close to making their third bid for the Barcelona midfielder, which will be increased into the region of £35 million.
The Old Trafford club had two previous bids rejected by the Spanish giants for the midfielder, but still seek a way to lure the 26-year-old back to the Premier League, after leaving Arsenal for Barcelona in 2011.
David de Gea, in an interview with Spanish newspaper 'Marca', said: "He'll have to make a decision whether to stay at Barcelona or join us. He'd be a great signing as he'd help us improve a lot."
The United goalkeeper also attempted to convince Spain Under-21 teammate Thiago to join Manchester United after winning the U-21 Euro Championship.
The 22-year-old midfielder was looking ever so close to switching to the Premier League, but he opted to switch to European champions Bayern Munich instead, to reunite with former boss Pep Guardiola.
Barcelona have insisted that Cesc Fabregas is not for sale at any cost, after rejecting the two former bids from the Premier League club, but the Reds have seemingly not given up hope of landing the Spaniard.
