The 25-year-old former-Stamford Bridge midfielder was strongly linked with a return to the Blues following the appointment of Jose Mourinho.
That interest now seems to have cooled, but a fresh report in Portuguese newspaper A Bola claims the Benfica star could yet be on the move before the end of the transfer window.
The player's agent, Dejan Mitrovic, told Radio Renaissance - as reported by A Bola - that several teams are still monitoring Matic.
Mitrovic said: "We'll see. Since a month ago, there are still clubs interested, but Matic is still at Benfica.
Nothing has change since a few months ago. There are interested [clubs] but the process remains the same."
The Serbian international has a €45m release clause in Benfica contract, and made the move to the Portuguese giants as part of the deal that brought David Luiz to Chelsea.
Matic has since flourished in Portugal, and played an important part of Jorge Jesus's team last term as Benfica reached the Europa League final - only to lose to the Blues in the final.
