New Chelsea signing Marco van Ginkel is set to impress for the Blues in their upcoming league campaign.

The Netherlands international moved to west London from Vitesse earlier this summer and is set to star for Chelsea as soon as next season.

At the age of just 20, Van Ginkel is one of the most promising midfield prospects in the world and is set to be fast-tracked into the Chelsea starting eleven.

The Dutchman has impressed in pre-season with his composure on the ball and well-timed tackling ability. He is a very tidy player and performs well above his years.

Taking into account his young age and lack of experience at the top level, it would be an incredible feat if Van Ginkel managed to muscle his way into Chelsea's starting eleven for the upcoming season, but I certainly wouldn't put it past him as he has raw quality.

There have been comparisons to a young Michael Ballack, and with Van Ginkel's ability to run the midfield so early in his career those comparisons are duly merited.

Whether Van Ginkel can break into Chelsea's first-team with their already packed midfield remains to be seen, but he is certainly one to look out for in the future.
