Arsene Wenger faced the press ahead of the upcoming Emirates Cup and revealed news about his team selection and about future transfers.
In terms of team selection for the Emirates Cup, Arsenal fans are set to catch a glimpse of new signing Yaya Sanogo, whilst Santi Cazorla is also set to feature in the pre-season tournament.
There was more good news for Arsenal fans as Wenger admitted that whilst Jack Wilshere is not 100% fit, he is considered to be 'completely available and part of the team."
It would appear then that Wenger is preparing a strong team for this weekend and Arsenal will need it as they face stiff opposition from Italian side Napoli, FC Porto and Turkish champions Galatasaray.
Questions from the press then ranged onto transfer news and whilst Wenger would not be drawn to discussing the Luis Suarez saga other than to state: "We try to keep as much confidential as possible."
He then admitted that his squad could be strengthened with new signings and suggested: "We (Arsenal) can still strengthen our squad with one month remaining," but he was keen to state that Sanogo would be a surprise to many and bring quality to his squad.
Wenger reiterated the point that the club is: "Under pressure to spend money," but that he feels more under pressure to spend it in the right way.
What this means for Arsenal fans is that it could be a tense few weeks leading up to the transfer deadline day as Arsene Wenger decides how best to spend the rest of his transfer budget.
