Manchester City new-boy Stevan Jovetic has revealed he rejected a summer move to Juventus - in order to seal a move to the Etihad Stadium.
The Montenegro striker joined Manchester City last month for a fee believed to be in the region of £23.3million - but could have stayed in Serie A instead.
"Yes, Juventus did want me. They talked with my agent," Jovetic told reporters.
"Actually they talked a lot more with him than with me."
Jovetic has been delighted with his integration into Manuel Pellegrini's side - highlighting Manchester City trio Matija Nastasic, Aleksandar Kolarov and Edin Dzeko as players who have helped him settle into the squad.
"I've been really pleased with these two matches, of what I consider a very important tournament," Jovetic said after Manchester City's defeat to Bayern Munich.
"I'm sure we have plenty of room for improvement."
Meanwhile, City manager Pellegrini has stated his delight at the way his new side have performed during pre-season.
Jovetic will be hoping he has cemented a place in Pellegrini's plans and is therefore involved in Manchester City's Premier League opener against Newcastle on August 19.
