Gareth Bale has not travelled with the Tottenham squad to Monaco, prompting speculation he’s moving closer to a move to Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old was not on the plane as the rest of the squad departed for the pre-season friendly, however reports claim Tottenham will only sell if the Spanish giants put together the right players-plus-cash deal. [Daily Express]

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger thinks Real Madrid's mega-bid for Tottenham star Gareth Bale makes a mockery of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.

The Gunners boss even went so far as to call the reported £105m fee a “joke.” [talkSPORT]

Italian champions Juventus have made a £12m bid for Manchester City left-back Aleksandar Kolarov. The Serbian international wants assurances over his first-team place following the appointment of Manuel Pellegrini.

Gareth Barry could also be set for a move to Italy, with Napoli boss Rafa Benitez keen to sign him. The England international only has 12 months left on his City contract. [Daily Mirror]

Barcelona coach Tato Martino has given fresh hope to Manchester United’s plans to land Cesc Fabregas this summer.

The Barca midfielder scored twice in the 8-0 win over Santos on Friday night, and after the game Martino confirmed that although he wants the former-Arsenal captain to stay at the Nou Camp - the decision will rest with the player. [BBC]

Jose Mourinho has given the clearest indication yet that he plans to keep Fernando Torres at Chelsea.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge – Valencia are reportedly interested as a replacement for Roberto Soldado - but Mourinho insists he’s ready to keep faith with him. [Daily Telegraph]
