Fulham have launched a second bid for Aston Villa forward Darren Bent, according to the Daily Star.
Villa boss Paul Lambert is prepared to sell the 29-year-old but reportedly wants £6million for the striker.
According to several national newspapers, Fulham are said to have made a £4million offer for Bent, who appeared 16 times in the Premier League last season.
The former English international has been out of favour at Villa since the arrival of Christian Benteke.
Fulham boss Martin Jol is keen to sign a striker to play alongside Dimitar Berbatov next season.
Bent is considered to be Jol's main target for the summer and will be looking to close the deal as quickly as possible.
Bent will need to find a new club this summer, if he is to represent England in the 2014 World Cup.
Bent arrived at Villa in 2011 for a massive £24million, which would represent a huge financial loss for the club.
