Manager Paul Lambert is happy with Aston Villa's new signings, and feels they have settled in quickly at Villa Park.
Lambert has brought in five players during the transfer window, spending over £10 million as he looks to improve his squad that spent much of last season in relegation trouble.
Antonio Luna Rodriguez, Nicklas Helenius, Aleksander Tonev, Leandro Bacuna and Jores Okore have all made the switch to the Premier League, and Lambert is impressed with how quickly they have settled in after moving to England.
"The good thing is there are good characters, that's more important than anything," Lambert told Sky Sports News.
"I think that they have bedded in pretty well. They have got used to English game. The team spirit is very good too."
There is no doubt about Villa's biggest signing of the summer, with the club securing the services of their top scorer Christian Benteke after the Belgian signed a new deal at the club.
And with Lambert making some useful additions to the squad, he is confident his side will improve this season, despite facing a tough set of fixtures to kick off their campaign when they face Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in their first three games.
"It's a tough start but you've got to play them sometime. Anything can happen at the start of the season," he said.
