The former greats of both Real Madrid and Barcelona went head-to-head in a five-on-five futsal tournament in Kuwait, with the Los Blancos legends inflicting a heavy 9-5 defeat to put one over on their fierce rivals.
Madrid included the likes of Bodo Illgner in goal, former Bolton man Fernando Hierro, Luis Figo, Michael Owen and ex-Liverpool striker Fernando Morientes.
They were up against Vitor Baia in goal for Barca, former Chelsea defender Juliano Beletti, Gianluca Zambrotta, ex-Middlesbrough midfielder Gaizka Mendieta and former Newcastle striker Patrick Kluivert.
Owen, 33, was proud to defeat the Catalan club as it took his personal tally to two wins and one defeat and tweeted after the event: 'Having won one and lost one, today was the decider! Real Madrid 9 Barcelona 5 #Boom'.
The teams were level at 4-4, before Madrid’s onslaught began witnessed by more than 50,000 spectators.
Morientes and Belletti both scored hat-tricks while Figo also capped his appearance with a goal.
