GiveMeSport and BT Sport have teamed up to offer readers a pair of tickets to Rio Ferdinand’s testimonial match against Sevilla on Friday, 9th August.

The match at Old Trafford is to celebrate the former England international’s 11-years of service to the Red Devils, and will kick-off at 7:30pm.

As well as first team regulars, a number of celebrity guests and former teammates are expected to feature in a game that is set to raise plenty of money for a Manchester charity.

To be in with a chance of winning this excellent prize, simply answer the following question:

From which club did Manchester United sign Rio Ferdinand back in 2002?

To enter, simply e-mail with your answer, name, address and contact telephone number. Entrants must be 18 or over, and your e-mail title should read: Rio Ferdinand ticket competition.

The competition will close at midnight tonight (Tuesday, 6th August). Winners will be contacted tomorrow (Wednesday, 7th August). The prize does not include transport, accommodation or hospitality at the game.

The testimonial match will be shown exclusively live on BT Sport along with 38 live and exclusive games from the Barclays Premier League, all 69 live rugby matches from the Aviva Premiership, live football from several other top leagues around the world, FA Cup, Europa League, Scottish Premier League, women’s tennis from the WTA, next season’s MotoGP, action from the UFC and much more.

BT Sport is free with BT broadband and available via BT’s own TV service, the Sky Digital Satellite Platform and online at or via the BT Sport app.
