With the new Premier League campaign less than a fortnight ago, let's take a look at the best summer signings so far.

5. Ricky van Wolfswinkel | Norwich City

The 24 year old Dutch international has had 2 superb seasons at Sporting, scoring 45 goals in 87 appearances. This forward has great pace and ability, not to mention being as cool as ice in front of goal, Norwich will be delighted with the players signature, after working out an £8.5m deal.

4. Wilfried Bony | Swansea City

After three successful seasons at Dutch club Vitesse, Swansea City have signed the Ivory Coast international for £12m.

Bony is a powerful forward and will no doubt impress in the Premier League. After scoring 46 goals in 65 appearances, it's no wonder the Welsh team were so desperate to sign the 24-year-old.

3. Simon Mignolet | Liverpool

The Belgium international showed great potential for Sunderland in the past three years, and with Liverpool's regular goalkeeper Pepe Reina off to Napoli on loan, landing the 25 year old was a great deal. Liverpool only paid £9m too, which could prove to be a worthy investment.

2. André Schürrle | Chelsea

After chasing Schürrle for so long, Chelsea made another bid worth £18m this summer and finally got the signature of the Germany international.

Schürrle shows amazing potential, he is able to play as a forward or on the wing, with great pace, skill and technical ability. No doubt we will see plenty of him in the years to come under Mourinho.

1. Fernandinho | Manchester City

Manchester City paid a massive £30m for the Brazilian, who could be well worth the heavy spending. With blistering pace and an extremely powerful shot, this midfielder could be what City needs to regain the title.
