Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta has stated how vital Cesc Fabregas is to the Barcelona’s current squad.

This comes amid reports that have been in the media for the past weeks concerning the uncertainty of Fabregas’ future at the Catalan club.

The Spanish midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, and Manchester United manager David Moyes has publicly declared his desire to acquire the services of the 26-year-old former Arsenal skipper.

Barcelona have repeatedly clearly stated that Cesc is not for sale, after rejecting a bid from the English Premier League champions, but Manchester United are yet to completely give up on their efforts in pursuit for the Spanish international.

According to Inside Spanish Football, Andres Iniesta said: “In my views he’s indisputable in this Barca side. My teammates are always the best and the important thing is that the competition makes us better than everyone else, because at the end of the day it’s the team that wins the tittles, not the individuals. He is a fundamental player for us. He has always performed brilliantly and he will do it again.”

The new Catalan manager Gerardo Martino, who has replaced the ailing Tito Vilanova, who stepped down early last month after suffering a cancer relapse, has adamantly stated that Fabregas won’t be allowed to leave on any price, and he remains an integral figure in his plans at the Camp Nou.
