German wonderkid Julian Draxler admits he had sleepless nights after he recieved offers from Manchester City and Real Madrid.
The 19-year-old was also the subject of interest from Arsenal and Chelsea, however he opted to stay at Schalke as he signed a contract keeping him at the club until 2018.
However, the youngster has admitted that deciding his future proved to be a very difficult task, as he told German newspaper Bild: "I had sleepless nights about it.
"It was not an easy decision. You never know whether you will ever get such an offer again.
"In the end, I followed my heart and decided to remain at Schalke."
The German was also linked to Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund, but Draxler said a move to the club was never possible.
"Unless they brainwash me, I will never join Dortmund."
A number of clubs will keep an eye on the progress of the star, as he has a £39.3 million release clause written into his contract.
However, for now, Draxler will stay in Germany and be able to concentrate on helping Schalke progress in the Bundesliga as they look to challenge Bayern Munich and Dortmund.
