Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Franck Ribery have been named as the three finalists for UEFA's Best Player in Europe award.
The three, selected from a shortlist of 10 by journalists from around the world, will contest the award which is handed out Thursday, August 29.
Messi helped guide Barcelona to their 4th La Liga title in five seasons last time round, scoring an extraordinary 46 league goals along the way.
Rival Ronaldo meanwhile was unable to add to his trophy haul last term but maintained his sensational scoring record for Los Blancos, which currently stands at 201 goals in 199 appearances. He also top-scored with 12 goals in the Champions League.
Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery meanwhile helped his side claim a historic treble under out-going boss Jupp Heynckes in 2012/13
The German giants added success in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley to a domestic cup and league double.
The vote for the winner later this month in Monaco will take place live via an electronic system.
Barcelona's Andres Iniesta scooped the award after helping Spain win Euro 2012 last year.
Of those who missed out on the final three shortlist, Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski came 4th, Tottenham star Gareth Bale was 7th and Robin van Persie secured 10th place.
